Our Artistic Director, Ryan Perrotte, has decided to step down from his position to focus more on his family and other obligations. In just one year, Ryan has left a significant mark on our ensemble by taking us to Total Vocal in New York, introducing us to new styles of a cappella music, and emphasizing the importance of emotionally-impactful performance.
We sincerely thank Ryan for a fantastic year and all that he has done for us, and wish him nothing but the best in all of his future endeavors.
Ryan’s successor as Artistic Director will be Brandon Rauch. Brandon brings to us 10 years of barbershop experience and an unrivaled passion for our art form. We are grateful to have him and incredibly excited to get to work.
Four members of Vocal Confluence attended Harmony University, a week-long, immersive, educational event put on by the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Brandon Rauch, Josh Gongaware, Karl Chapple, and Steve Wyszomierski joined hundreds of singers from 17 countries in Nashville, TN from July 22-29, 2018 and enjoyed learning about all things barbershop. Steve also served on the faculty of the Leadership College.
The weekend before HU, Karl, Steve, and Josh also attended the BHS Leadership Summit to hone their leadership skills and provide input for the Society’s strategic direction.
